Frozen Howison
Recently, I wrote about my neighbor, the Howison Homestead, and shared a small collection of images made both on film and with my iPhone. This past weekend, a major Mid-Atlantic snowstorm moved through the region, ending with several hours of sleet. What remained was a hard crust of ice layered over a soft cushion of snow. Digging out was slow and stubborn work, but once I was done, I returned to my regular walks along the homestead. I brought my film camera along again, though those images aren’t ready just yet. I did, however, make plenty of photographs with my digital camera. I was lucky enough to be among the first to walk through the newly frozen, undisturbed landscape. Here are a few of those images.
