Bunnyhop Comes Home

Earlier this year, we launched a little experiment called Bunnyhop Designs.

The idea was simple: create a home for a collection of original cycling apparel inspired by the rides, places, and experiences that have shaped Best Rides DC over the years.

At the center of it all was Miles.

Miles isn't just a mascot. He's a reminder that riding bikes should be fun. Not every ride needs a goal, a KOM, or a destination. Sometimes the best rides are the ones that leave you smiling—even if you don't go very far. Ride for the smiles. The miles will follow.

The site turned out just the way we hoped, but over time we realized something else. Everything we were creating naturally belonged here on Best Rides DC.

The t-shirts, hats, posters, stickers, and books all tell the same story. They're inspired by the places you'll find in the Where to Ride guides, the adventures in my blog and journal, and the local trails and roads so many of us love to explore.

So rather than split everything between two websites, we've brought it all together under one roof.

The new Best Rides DC Shop is now home to the complete Bunnyhop collection, along with my regional cycling guides, My Journey with Ulcerative Colitis: Getting Back on the Bike, cycling posters, and a few other ideas we've been working on.

And we're just getting started.

Over the coming months we'll continue adding new designs inspired by the places we ride and the stories we share here. If there's a destination, trail, or design you'd love to see, let me know. Some of our best ideas have come from fellow riders.
